We have removed our PM3 from service as a router. A PM3 is not
up to taking the load of a full T1 let alone thinking of putting BGP on
it. Sad really, to see the hard work of people at Livingston going
down the tubes.
We are implementing alternate solutions.
A brief talk with Lucent was about as helpful as talking to myself.
While the gentleman above that helped to design the unit swears it is
a BGP capable, it would first have to be capable of acting as a router
on a consistent basis in order for us to make the jump to BGP with it.
Why is it that no one seems to be able to challenge Cisco in the
router market??
