I have a 2 channel ISDN user who suddenly can't log in. He is using a
Webramp router.

When he tried to dial in with his firct channel, he gets this error:

"Disconnect received from remote cause: 16"

Checking our Portmaster syslog output we see this:

Dec 4 07:34:47 pm3-3.westnet.com dialnet: port S32 microtk succeeded dest 206.28.203.37
Dec 4 07:34:47 pm3-3.westnet.com dialnet: port S32 connection succeeded dest p9.pm3-5.westnet.com
Dec 4 07:34:47 pm3-3.westnet.com dialnet: port S32 session disconnected dest p9.pm3-5.westnet.com
Dec 4 07:34:47 pm3-3.westnet.com portmaster: port S32 terminated - Service Unavailable - Master out of Sync

I found the following on the Livingston/Lucent web site about this error:

A master point-to-point (PTP) list is not synchronized with slave
PortMaster products in a Multichassis PPP bundle.

Which sounds easy -- except this doesn't look like a MPPP log-in yet -- it's
only the first channel !

I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to look next, and would appreciate any
suggestions anyone might have.
