the port limit only stops a user from creating a connecting using 2
channels, ie. a bonded ISDN connection, a shotgun modem connection, etc.

This has been answered and re-answered a hundred times in the archives.

If you need to prevent simultaneous logins, you need to do any of the
following:

Get a RADIUS daemon that supports this feature: cistron (free), radiator
(not free), merit, radius abm, etc, etc.

Get a utility that checks for simultaneous logins, and then perform
whatever action that you need: tsmon (www.tsmon.com i believe) my friends
perl script pmmultimon (write catesjr@3lefties.com for info), and there
are others.
