Well, if you had given this earlier!

Did you check the netmask on the Macs?
and did you check the gateway?
did someone put in an access control block for Macs ;)

Okay so you can hit things internally with DNS or IP.... You can't hit
anything outside with IP...

Are these Macs using static IPs?
Have you tried tracerouting from the macs out and from outside to the macs
to see where it gets lost?
