:Hi.
:I am trying to get my telco to provision my ISDN BRI line correctly for
:use with my ORU-UP. I used the incantation "ACO on the second B-channel"
What do they claim ACO stands for?
:OK, I thought I avoid any more telco confusion (I've had enough this week)
:and use the IOC order code (that's what they're for right?). Can someone
:tell me which is the best IOC to use to get the best use of the voice port?
What exactly do you want? You want 1 data and 1 voice?
:Capability Package P (2B+D) includes alternate voice/circuit-switched data
:Offering for voice, as well as D-channel packet capabilities. Capability
:Package X includes alternate voice/circuit-switched data on two B channels,
:and D-channel packet. Three Directory Numbers are provisioned; each
:circuit-switched Directory Number is allowed access to only 1 B channel at
Ahh this sounds like B-ISDN or broadband isdn.
:I'm guessing IOC U, unless someone is going to tell me that the ORU and
:PM3 are going to support AO/DI next week and then it's X, right?
I cant really tell what all that gookyness was but if it is B-ISDN, it is
backwards compatible to narrow band ISDN. You wont get any advantage of
getting it if you use an OR-U tho.
Just order the thing with 2b+d, csv=1, and csd=1 on both B channels.
