Most of our local ISPs running PM3 equipment have all downgraded
to 3.8. We experienced the same difficulties across the board and they
immediately cleared up after reloading 3.8. I highly recommend it,
unless you plan on working w/ Lucent to beta test.

Subject: (PM) Downgrade ComOS ?

Hi,

We are running on 3.8.2c2 version of ComOS from 5 May
1999. However our
customers still have major connection problems. Most of
the connection
problems are not due any longer to lack of connection or
first protocol
negotiation. They are due mainly to the disconnections
after certain
period of time (1 min, 3 min, 15 min, etc.). These
periods are very
irregular and happen to everyone regardles of modem type
or firmware.
Same customers are able to connect to competitors POP's
running Ascend
boxes without any problems.

Therefore I have a question is there a possibility of
downgrading ComOS
to fix the problem ? If yes, then to which version of
ComOS should we
downgrade ?

Any information will be greatly appriciated.

Regards,
