Over the past 3 months, I have had problems with both PM25 and PM2e30
assigning the same IP address to more than one port. Previously, I had
setup Cistron Radious 1.5.3 to assign IP address based on port number:
* from /etc/raddb/users
DEFAULT Service-Type= Framed-User, Huntgroup-Name = "NAS1"
Framed-IP-Address = 206.82.134.193+,
Fall-Through = Yes
This worked well, but I disabled it after I discovered the PM2e30 had the
same IP address assigned to 2 ports. I let the IP addresses be assigned by
the portmasters ("Assigned Address: " in global config menu of PMConsole).
This worked well for some time, till today. I found the same IP address
assigned to 2 ports. I reset both the ports, but the PM25 continued to
assign the same IP address to two ports. It appeared as though the PM was
unable to track assigned IPs.
Has anyone had similar problems? What should I do to prevent IP address
conflicts? Please help. I am using ComOS 3.7.2 on both portmasters.
