(PM) Is CSU/DSU required ?????

Hi All,

I am using cisco 2500 series router. There are two serial ports with DB60 connectors. I connected port 0 with 64K leased line through a CSU/DSU.

Now I wanna connect my router (free seril 1) to a PM 2eR for some purpose. Now my question is that can I connect the sync. port of 2eR with seril port 1 of the router WITH OUT A CSU/DSU.
