We got one to provide access to a remote site that could not get anything
except analog phones. It works just fine. There are the usual modem problems
to deal with(Modems connecting too fast, retrains, etc...). Once we did some
rate limiting everything was fine. Note that when one modem starts to have
problems, the entire connection freezes while the modem gets it's act together,
or the Webramp drops that modem from the bundle.
The 410a has serious problems with compression. It works just fine when
STAC is turned off, but with STAC, all goes to Hell. It looks like it has
problems calculating the actual throughput of the connection. It
undercalculates the link utilization and drops one of the B channels. This is
done during full load. At that point the entire connection freezes solid and
needs to be reset. No fixes yet. It *is* a brand new product.
