RE: (PM) Modem slow-down with 3.8.2c2

I have noticed now that I connect around 48000-49333, then I
retrain/renegotiate down to 31200. All this from a modem that has been rock
solid at 48000. This is a psion dacom goldcard 56K, latest drivers /
firmware. My USR External 56, also seems to have this problem. It too was
stable at 48000, now it degrades over time and then firmly settles in v.34
land.

I have not had that many user calls as of yet, but who knows..
