LAPM DISCONNECT is good. It says that the other modem properly negotiated
the end of the session. (Of course, the other modem may have had a bad
reason for doing a good disconnect.)

CIRCUIT DISCONNECT *can* be good (eg, Trumpet under Win 3.1) or bad.

I've developed the impression that while the disconnect cause in the show
modem command is *supposed* to show the status of the last call which was
disconnected in that modem, it in fact "latches" conditions like CIRCUIT
DISCONNECT...and that once a modem has shown CIRCUIT DISCONNECT it will
continue to show that regardless of how later calls end.
