ComOS 3.8.3piafs Release Note for PortMaster 3
The new Lucent Technologies ComOS(R) 3.8.3piafs software is now
released for the PortMaster(R) 3 Integrated Access Server.
This release is provided at no charge to all Lucent customers.
This release note documents commands and features added between

Do NOT upgrade to this release if you are not using PIAFS cards.
This release note applies only to the PortMaster 3.
_______________ New Feature
ComOS 3.8.3piafs supports the Personal Handyphone System (PHS) or PHS
Internet Access Forum Standard (PIAFS). PIAFS is a form of wireless
ISDN commonly used in Japan. This release supports 32Kbps connection
speeds. This release does not support 64Kbps over PIAFS or V.42bis over
PIAFS.
You must use PIAFS modem cards (MCM-PM3-10, PortMaster 3 10-port Mobile
Communications Card) in your PortMaster 3 to accept PIAFS calls.
This release adds support for the PIAFS Port-Type (6) in RADIUS. Add
the following line to your RADIUS dictionary, then kill and restart
your radiusd server.

I went to the lucent site to download comos 3.8.2c2 and noticed that there
is also a 3.8.3.
Does anyone know anything about 3.8.3? Is this a mistake that this is
listed or is it stable code?
