The format of the location configuration file is a text file
that lists all
the commands you would type on the ComOS cli to create a
location.
Example:
add location example
set location example analog on
set location example group 2
set location example maxports 1
set location example phone 12345
Note that you must use the location keyword. The PMDial does
not allow you
to omit the keyword.
U mean to say i should type all the commands fully (should not type loc
instead of location or max for maxports)...? Pls correct me....
The syntax i tried was,
pmdial 1.2.3.4 xxxx -t 2 -f test.txt test
here 1.2.3.4 -> Ip address for the PM3
xxxx -> passwd for !root
-t 2 --> timeout is 2 min
-f test.txt --> location configuration file which is the same
directory
test --> is the location table which has to dial out
Pls lote that there was no test location in PM3....
I got an error mesg that "there is no test location on PM3"
When i created one it dial out and established with remote site...
Pls advice me....
Also note that if you use PMVision to backup just the
location table from your PortMaster, you can create this file.
I did not understand this....
Pls axplain... Is it means that i can use the configuratin file from
PMvision backup location file ?
Will PM4 with 4.0 comOs will support pmdial tool...?
Looks like this is a good tool for our environment...
Pls help me...
TIA
