I hate to disagree with a Lucent person but this standard line from
Lucent really burns me up. Circuit Disconnects are USUALLY NOT ok!
They can in fact mean that DCD was dropped or the customer pulled their
phone line out of the jack or a passing truck ripped out an over head
trunk group but they mostly mean the call was disconnected WITHOUT the
customer wanting it to!
The dreaded "why do I get disconnected from your system" many PM3/4
owners hear on a daily basis are attributed to "CIRCUIT DISCONNECTS" or
"Call Circuit Closed - CCC's" message in your logs.
That said the new modem code is MUCH improved over 3.8.2 and I recommend
upgrading ASAP.
