I have the strange feeling that it depends on the version of
pmconsole/pmvision/whatever and if you are on a switched ethernet segment
or not. I always use the BSDI version of pmconsole under FreeBSD to
upgrade our boxes. It is true that only 1 of the 5 boxes is really loaded
(the remaining 4 are in remote locations that do not have as much
traffic).
