Re: (PM) Several PM3s vs. One PM4

The upsides of the PM3 is that they are a proven chassis with wide
support, good software, and relatively good modem code.

The upsides of the PM4 is that they are Lucents new toy, they will be the
future, and have tons of power and will have tons of options soon enough.

The downsides of the PM4 is that they are lucents new toy, they have yet
to have the same amount of regression testing that the PM3 has had, and
as such are going through growing pains. The code is not as stable as the
PM3 (from what i can judge from posts) and there are still some
options/modules that people are waiting for.

BTW, in case anybody on the list doesnt remember from the old days:

I used to call into a BBS and play multiplayer doom (4 players over a
modem) utilizing APCi software. It was amazing. Good software, but
expensive. :) (Digiports/Octopus Cables/PCBoard and APCi)
