(PM) Reliable modem....

Late last week, I got a new flash upgrade for a Wisecom 56K Accelerator Pro
internal modem that had been having some problems staying connected (and
not going back on hook when it did lose the connection... the upgrade
appears to have solved that problem, too).

It's much more stable... just thought you'd like to know about the "good"
modems rather than just hearing about the bad ones:

S9 xxx xxxx.xxxx.xxx Netwrk In ESTABLISHED 3days 0

Card Type: LU1674 Chipset
State: ACTIVE
Active Port: S9
Transmit Rate: 46666
Receive Rate: 26400
Connection Type: LAPM/V42BIS
Chars Sent: 239042957
Chars Received: 24404938
Retrains: 2
Renegotiations: 91

Total Calls: 124
Modem Detects: 99
Good Connects: 99

Granted, renegotiations are high... a bit more than 1 per hour over 72+ hours.

Over the past three days, tx speed has been as high as 48000, as low as
45333. Rx speed is generally 28800, but goes to 26400 occasionally.

This, so far, is the longest I've been able to make any modem stay
connected. Not bad... now that I've bragged on it, it'll probably drop any
time now.
