Pm 11's and pm25s work GREAT for this. We do that here. One of my other
customers has 34 pm 25's working JUST as reverse term servers in their NOC
connecting to Cisco, Portmaster, Ascend, and all manner of beast via the
serial ports. They work great. You can even write little pmcommand
proggies to automatically telnet, attach, login to the devices and give
you stats, and such... Its all a matter of how creative you get.

The portmasters were ORIGINALLY designed to work like this...
