It doesnt really matter if it is y2k. Because there is no internal clock,
just a count of seconds past since it was turned on, so only your radius
accouting needs to be y2k, and why do you say unfortunately? ;-)

How do you have the ports on the pm 2 set up?

Try attaching and dialing out and back to yourself and seeing what the
connect rates are.
