Jesus christ man, do you know what you are asking? This is the computer
industry, where todays edge technology is tomorrows door stop. Lucent has
done a GREAT job (read, better then anyone i know) supporting their older
hardware lines. You can only support a product so long. Those fans out
there that say "support your product forever, regardless of the cost" are
usually the people who dont realize that there is a BUSINESS to run as
well, and making money is a NECESSITY. Poor decisions like supporting 7
year old products with free upgrades can put a serious monetary dent in
any business.
