Our calls to tech support about disconnects have more than doubled in
the last few weeks, and I'm trying to determine the cause. We have CT1s
connected to PM3s and USR TCs. We have been telling customers who are
experiencing disconnects to dial into the USR modems, which solves the
problem (for them , but not us). Sprint, our carrier, says that the
configuration on all CT1s is identical. We have one Ascend Max, which
has also been maintaining connections without a hitch.
I have downgraded a few of the PM3s to 3.8, so 2 are at 3.0 and 2 are at
3.8.2. The OS doesn't appear to be a factor, as far as I can see.
Here's a sho line0 on one of them:
pm3> sho line0
---------------------- line0 - T1 Inband DS0 ---------------
Status: UP Framing: ESF Encoding: B8ZS PCM: u-law
Signaling: Trunk E&M wink start
Receive Level: +2dB to -7.5dB
Alarms Violations
----------------------------- -----------------------------
Blue 0 Bipolar 0
Yellow 0 CRC Errors 0
Receive Carrier Loss 0 Multiframe Sync 0
Loss of Sync 0
Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing the disconnect
problems? I know there are tons of variables involved, but I'm looking
for a good place to start.
Thanks,
Beth
