Thanks for the response. I guess we may have jumped the gun a bit but we
had some users that called a 1-800 number and magically their problems were
solved. The problem most users are having is likely related to driver
upgrades, which is where we point them first. The latest drivers seem to
resolve any problems they are having. In fact, one customer who is about 15
miles out of town, is getting a good 44K+ connection. Prior to that, he was
only able to achieve 38K+ on a good day (usually drifted below 33.6). We
just assumed that there was some init string combination that may have
worked. We're used to placing a ceiling connection on some modems to stop
them from negotiating every 60 seconds so we were surprised to see such an
improvement. Overall, we're quite happy with LT Winmodems after they have
been upgraded.
