(PM) Adtran Atlass 800 compatible with PM3?

Hi, I'm in a situation where a PRI will cost me about $2000/mo, but using 12
BRI to provide the equivalent 24 B-channels would only cost $960/mo (and the
telco's even filing a tariff to *reduce* the BRI rate!).

So, I'm thinking about using an Adtran Atlas 800 with 2 8-port BRI cards to
inverse mux 12 BRI into a single PRI which I would feed to a PM3. Has anyone
on this list used an Atlas in that way? Did you have any problems with
pprovisioning of the BRIs or getting the PM3 to talk to the Atlas-generated
PRI?

I talked to an Adtran pre-sales engineer and he said the BRIs ports will
support any switch type, but the PRI currently only emulates 5ess. That
should be compatible with the PM3, but I'd like to hear from someone who's
actually done it.

The list price on the box is over $11,000 but in my case the payback would be
less than a year (and with a decent discount, it should be about 8 months).
There's some info on their web page about this at
http://www.adtran.com/cpe/white_papers/atlas/bri-pri/bri-pri1/

Thanks,

Mark
