Once upon a time Joe Hartley shaped the electrons to say...
>I've got a PM2 that's gone wonky, and I need to clear out the flash RAM
>real well, then try a netboot. My "archives" show that the command
>"set register 0xffff 0x0102" will completely wipe the flash RAM. Is this

'set register 0xffff 0x0102' will erase the configuration but NOT ComOS.

I believe this is 'erase configuration' in the newer ComOS revs.

'set register 0xffff 0x0f63' will erase BOTH config and ComOS.

I believe this is 'erase all-flash' in the newer ComOS revs.

Now, I deduced this once upon a time. If you want to erase ComOS and NOT
config:
'set register 0xffff 0x0100'
'set register 0xffff 0x0101'
'set register 0xffff 0x0103'

I hope I remembered that correctly. There are 4 FLASH chips, config is on
the 3rd chip.

Of course, there is now 'erase comos' in the new revs.
