Once upon a time Chris Chapman shaped the electrons to say...
>- Terminate a PRI for ISDN and v.90 dialin (24 modems).

23 per PRI actually, but fine.

>- Terminate a Point to Point T1 for IP traffic between a remote office
>and the POP.

With ease.

>- Route IP traffic between the modems, the LAN, and the remote office.
>(Internet traffic from the modems and remote office will be sent to a
>seperate router on the LAN through the portmaster).

Again, with ease. RIPv1, OSPFv2, and BGP-4 are available as routing
protocols.

I could see a chassis, 5x10 modem cards, and a T1 WAN card. This will
cover 2 PRIs (46 channels), the LAN, and the PtP T1.

>Also, if at a later date we need to add 24 more modems, is our
>expandability shot by using the internal CSUs for the PtP T1 and PRI?

That's where the T1 WAN card comes in. You can add it later and migrate
the T1 there to free the 2nd base port for dialin.

>If we can add 24 more modems, could it handle the load for 48 sessions
>and routing the PtP T1?

Yes.
