i have been having some problems getting radiusd (both version 1.61 and
2.01) to function properly in a couple of NIS servers (FreeBSD & DEC
Alpha).
users in those servers can login via telnet and ftp but radiusd won't
authenticate. the exact error looks like these:

my clients and users files are from a working server with no NIS running
so i dont think the problem comes from them.
has anybody seen this problem before?
