It is unlikely that if you keep those people informed, that they will
leave, or they will return after seeing how some of your competition
treats them.

If you tell people what you're doing ahead of time, explain things a lot,
you usually will win them over. If you change things that obviously make
problems and you don't give a heads up, they will hate you.

I'm not sure if there are 2000 ISPs using PM3s to begin with, and it's
safe to say that even if there are, only a fraction are having severe
problems, and if they stayed with stable release code, they would be fine.
