V.34 users are getting poor connects and there are lots of retrains.
K56Flex users are getting good connects (in the 46-50K range).
The T1's are provisioned D4-AMI, wink start out of a 5ESS switch. The same
switch that feeds two other PM3s with PRI from another city. These used
to be CT1 until about 3 weeks before the new PM3 was put in, and it worked
great for a year. The T1's themselves are clean, taking no errors except
for when we are trying something.
Some interesting things: I cannot place a 56K DOSBS call from the PRI-
fed using at&n55 or at&n56. I get the following output:
at&n56dt9254600
S46: Sending Call Request - 9254600
S46: Received Proceeding
S46: Received Disconnect Incompatible Dest (B1 ID:802f)
S46: Sending Disconnect Request
S46: Received Clear Conf (B1 ID:802f)
NO CARRIER
at&n55dt9254600
S46: Sending Call Request - 9254600 (VOICE)
S46: Received Proceeding
S46: Received Progress Unspecified Cause
S46: Received Connect - B1
CONNECT 56000
(then nothing -- no login: prompt after waiting two minutes)
I can call another CT1-fed PM3 in another city using either at&n56 or
at&n55 with no problems.
I suspect the CT1 is not provisioned right or there is something wrong
somewhere. While I was writing this GTE called and said they wanted to
try moving the T1s to a different fiber card. The one they are on now
is a AT&T that is not clocked from the switch, but is free-running. We'll
see, but if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears. I had opened a ticket
with Livingston (Lucent), but they said (and I can understand) as the PM3
was functioning OK, it was a telco issue with the switch and they couldn't
tell the telco exactly what to change (which is what seems to be needed).
