Once upon a time scheb w/pm3's shaped the electrons to say...
>my provider gives me two isdn pri trunks(?) that provide me with 46
>channels apiece. now i have both ISDN and Analog going into this

No, 23 channels apiece, 46 total.

>portmaster3 and the analog works great. unfortunately, ISDN users don't
>connect. now my provider has a dms-100 switch and that i have setup in the

If modem users are getting in, then you are talking to the switch with the
right signalling. It is either an up or down situation, and you are up.

>pm3. when i have a user call w/isdn, i can see him "connecting" on my "sho
>ses" screen, but he does not authenticate. what is the problem here?

You'd have to do debugs to kow what the issue s.

>also, in the usa. does the B-channel protocol matter? that is the problem

Yes - they should do straight sync PPP over HDLC on ISDN. Alternatively
they can do V.120. Do NOT do V.110, the PM-3 doesn't support it without
special V.110 cards (Which displace the new modems and only do V.34 when
used as a modem).

If they are using a normal ISDN TA for the US, then it should work in
default configurations.
