Not to start an OS war, but Id like to recommend Linux/portmaster
integration.

LINUX IS ALWAYS in a state of flux, but the nice thing USED to be, there
were new revs every few days. Since Linus got married and moved to
California, things don't happen like they used to. Even so, it is still
our choice.

We use linux for admin of our portmaster equipment and it works pretty
well. We use it NOT because it was stable, BUT because of these reasons:
1. source included (we are programmers), 2. LOTS of support from all over
the world from eager-to-help people, 3. The price was right. 4. Its
embraced by the type of people we like, programmers, tech guru's, etc...
