(PM) PM3 as replacement for Cisco 2501?

I have a remote location that has a T1 going from our central site to it.
On the remote site I have a Cisco 2501 connected to the T1 and the the
local ethernet. We are only routing IP (using RIP I for now). The
unit/DSU or something is acting up on me. Is the PM3 (no modem cards) a
valid replacement for the 2501? I just want to connect it to a T1 (not
channelized) and to the ethernet and route IP using RIP I. The central
site has a BayNetworks router and we are running a simple PPP connection
over the sync line.

Thanks...

=== Tim
