Make sure you are using a null modem cable. The pin outs are on the DOCs on
the CD if you do not have one and need to make one. If you are using one of
the various FastLynx/LapLink hydra cables for the null cable be carful as
I've had a number of them that do not work on a PM. After you attach it set
your terminal/com program to 9600-N-8-1 and power up the PM. You should get
a console prompt.

AFAIK you can also server bootp to get it and IP via PMVision but I've not
tried it on other then an OR.

As a last resort you can put an external modem set to autoanswer on it and
try dialing in. I had to do that one time that I forgot to bring a null
modem cable.
