(PM) Second PM3...

A request for advice, please:
I currently have 1 PM3 with 2 x PRI (in a single hunt group) and 6 10-modem
cards (running 3.7.2c3, 32Mb and Stac card)

To make room for future expansion and to add a little more resilience, I've
now obtained a second chassis.

The intention is to take 1 PRI and 3 of the cards in each chassis and run
them together in the same location, linked by multichassis PPP.

So far as I can understand from the docs, I need to

1) set the endpoint on both units to be the same (i.e. the mac address of
one of them)
2) Set the reported IP of both units to be the same
3) save all and reboot to start mcppp.

Now, my question: How is the pool of addresses for dial-in users handled?

Do I:

a) simply specify the assigned_address on one of the units, and it sets its
pool size by detecting the cards in both chassis over the mcppp link, and
subsequently calls on either PRI are assigned an address from this single
pool

OR

b) set a differing assigned_address on each unit, and specify an appropriate
pool size - meaning that calls coming in on the different PRIs will have
addresses assigned from different address ranges (which would be
helpful).

OR

c) Something else?

Are there other issues that arise that I need to take into account?

Ideally, I'd like to configure the units such that future additional modem
cards and PRI's can be added into the mix without having to reconfigure
anything...

TIA,
M.
