Try these 2 things...
1. Have them Enable DNS in either network control panel or
the Dialup Networking or both...
2. If that fails, tcp/ip stack may be bad. Re-Install the entire
Dialup Networking component in the Add/Remove Software
control panel.

Subject: (PM) Win 95 help needed

I have a user that I have went through all dialup networking
settings and cannot figure out what is wrong.

They dial in and connect but cant pull up a web page

I have them go to a command prompt and ping my IP
and it works. I have them ping my web server using
the name and it comes back bad IP. I have them
pull up a web browser and try the web server
and no go I have them try the web server using
the IP that they where able to ping and no go.

At the command prompt they can pull up
ftp and ftp into my ftp server using its IP
but if I have them try to ftp in using the name
it will not work.

I have them do a winipcfg and it shows the
proper dns server etc... I have made sure
that TCP/IP is installed, etc...

Any ideas?

Jim
