Yesterday I was told that my line would be up on the 24th of Feb.
Today, after spending a few hours getting a handicapped child with a life
expectancy less than my new computer hooked up to the internet, imagine
my surprise as I fumble through my messages and find a big note posted on
my monitor that says "No CT-1." After rescue 911 removed my head from
the shattered smokey remains of an AppleVision Display, I called my agent
only to find out that it wont be here till the 5th of March, and still no
guarantee. Some bs about not having the equipment out here, and that
Ameritech is sorry but when they gave me the date, they forgot to look
and see if they could do it, or if they had the facility for it
available.(what kind of crack heads are running this organization?) They
said something about ISDN cards??? I really wish I could run my business
this way: Well sorry about that WebSite, or domain, or dialup account
but it will be 21 business days and then some, before I think about
whether I want to take your money you loser.
I bend over ass backwards a thousand times a day for 16.95 per
month, and am happy to do it. This is what pays the bills and makes the
customers happy and makes me a modest living, oh ya and lets me sleep at
night knowing I have some morals, that is when I get time to sleep.
Perhaps my philosophy on running a business is wrong. I would give
anything to have a communist regime like Ameritech, where the competition
is not aloud in. That's right, we could not use another telco if we
wanted to. We have tried. Ameritech owns this part of the midwest, and
no one, and I mean no one will cross the boundary. Anyway, can some one
let me know what else could possibly go wrong with the line once it is
finally here?
thanx,
regards,
Jer
