I am trying to setup a sub-interface on a IRX port s4 that has an existing
frame relay connection. I can not get traffic across the sub interface but
the primary interface is working fine.

Here is my current config.

striper> sho s4
----------------------- Current Status - Port S4 ---------------------------
Status: ESTABLISHED
Input: 33338436 Abort Errors: 2
Output: 218076303 CRC Errors: 0
Pending: 0 Overrun Errors: 0
TX Errors: 1 Frame Errors: 0
Modem Status: DCD+ CTS+

Active Configuration
--------------------
Port Type: Netwrk
Line Speed: Ext 64K
Modem Control: on
Local Address: 192.168.1.1
Netmask: 255.255.255.252
Interface: frm4 (FRM,Routing)
Mtu: 1500
Dial Group: 27
LMI Poll Int: 10 (seconds)
Old DLCI List: 101

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

striper> sho location client1
Location: client1 Type: Sub-Interface
IP Address: 192.168.2.1 Netmask: 255.255.255.252
Protocol: Frame Relay Options: Listen, VJ-Comp
Group: 27 Mtu: 1500

Questions
1. Should the sub-interface show the current dlci's it has on it like the
web page does?
2. Do the ip addresses of the sub-interfaces in this frame cloud have to be
in the same
network as the primary interface (192.168.1.x).
3. If this circuit is setup with dlci 101 on the primary interface and 102
on the sub-interface on this side of the circuit and 118 on the circuit on
the other side of the circuit what should I see on the dlci list from the
telco? I am getting a dlci list of 101 and 118 on this side and 102 on the
other side which seems backwards to me.

Many thanks in advance...

Gary
