(PM) Foreign Exchanges and Connect Speeds (fwd)

Once upon a time Jim Lohiser shaped the electrons to say...
>Currently we are running a PM3 with a foreign exchanged trunk (FXS loop
>start). Connect speeds are actually worse that our analog modems.

Yep - FXS Loop will get the lowest performace on CT1, and won't do PCM
connects at al.

>If we move the PM3 to within spitting distance of the CO, buy a router, and
>run a T1 back into us, how much will that improve our connect speeds? We
>would be using either E&M wink or E&M immediate in this scenario.

Probably noticibly - but there are never guarantees. And you would be
able to do PCM connects (providing it is Trunkside).
