(PM) USR X2 connecting to Microcom ISPorte & PM2

I have had several complaints from customers with USR X2
modems. They connect to our Microcom ISPortes (33.6K -
analog only) running on Livingston PM2Es. Once they
connect, they don't seem to be routing (can't ping, etc).
However I have checked all the settings for Dial-up
Networking, and in the Network CPL on their systems. Have
even uninstalled and re-installed DUN. I'm left to believe
that it's a modem problem as that is the only common
component and 2 of the customers just "upgraded" to the
USR's. Both of those customers had working connections
before they "upgraded". Other customers calling to the same
lines work fine. Does anyone have a similar experience with
this? Is there a different init string I should have the
customers try?
