This belongs on portmaster-radius.

Once upon a time Jose de Leon shaped the electrons to say...
>I discovered in my radius detail log files duplicate acct session IDs.
>I thought the session IDs were supposed to be unique for each start
>record and unique for each stop record. I found multiple start records

Nope.

1. All records for the same session will share a Session-Id.
2. Session-Id is unique *ONLY PER CHASSIS, PER BOOT* All PortMaster
start with THE SAME SESSION-ID and count up. More than one chassis will
almost ensure duplicates. And the first two digits count from 00 to 99
with each boot, so after 100 reboots it rolls around to the same number
again.

Session-Id does *not* mean unique sessions.

For uniqueness I recommend:

Session-Id + NAS-IP-Address + NAS-Port + User-Name
