3.8 is supposed to support X.75. It looks to be in it--I haven't tested
it myself.

There aren't any plans for just a RS-232 serial card that I am aware of.
PM2E-10s are getting cheap enough and have plenty of RS-232 ports, so I
don't see this changing.
