Once upon a time John-David Childs shaped the electrons to say...
>Do modems attached to the HD cable on a PM-25 have the same potential
>throughput as modems attached to a PM2E? Reading the product literature

Yes.

>it seems that each individual port on a 2E has 115Kbps throughput
>capability, while the eight modems attached to a HD port on the PM25 must
>share the 115Kbps throughput. True or false?

Completely false. There are 68 pins on the connector. 4 are dead, leaving
64 across 8 modems. Each modem has 8 signalling lines, just like on a
DB-25, with its own serial port handler in the chassis. It is simply a
different form factor for higher density.
