I didn't figure this out for the longest time, until a couple of days ago.
What you do is create another profile in the pipeline, then when the first
profile is already connected, select the second profile, hit control-D and
manually dial it. It will automatically bond both channels.

I think you can also accomplish when the ascend dials up automatically by
setting the second session as the backup session for the first, then
setting the min channels to 2. Upon trying to establish the second
channel by dialing the 1st number, it will get a busy signal. So it will
dial the backup profile, succeed and bond both channels. I haven't tried
this second method myself, as the hunting on our lines was fixed before I
got a chance... I actually found this second method after hours browsing
through the portmaster-users list archives. I hope that Livingston tech
support would be aware of this fact and save people like us some time.
