Is it just me, or have any of you noticed that when downloading the binary
files off of ftp.livingston.com (say ComOS images, Tech Notes, etc.) that
unlike most other sites, (from within Netscape 4.04) no indication is
received of the percentage of bytes transfered, or how many bytes have
been sent down the computer so far.

Is this something that has been set on that server to NOT report the file
transfer sizes ? Also, on the web page it would be REAL nice to have some
sort of clue as to what the sizes of the files should be when they are
finally downloaded, otherwise perhaps the file would only be half
downloaded and we wouldn't know it!

(maybe this is already mentioned in the tech notes .. but how would I know
that the technotes have been "fully" downloaded before I read 'em?

Question: How difficult is it to setup a mirror site ? I'd like to
volunteer to run a mirror site in this country.. who would I need to get
permission from ?
