I don't work for Lucent and I'm not involved in the beta program or
anything, but I will personally guarantee you that you will be able to get
ComOS 3.8 (or higher) by Dec 1, 1998. If not, I'll give you your choice of
a PM2 or IRX for free. :) I'm anxious for the new features too, but
Livingston/Lucent has always provided VERY stable software with only a few
rare exceptions which affected people in isolated instances on a particular
platform. This is a tribute to their thorough testing and review of all
improvements and changes to the code. Other vendors issue updates every few
days, but when they fix one thing or add a new feature they usually break
something else. I can't remember this ever happening with any
Livingston/Lucent release. I think that they want it finished and out the
door as much as we want it on our boxes.
