Your post was just very wordy. Discourages response.

Suggestion: give the PM3 an IP from the netblock on the LAN, and setup
the assigned addresses from the other netblock.

Good rule of thumb: one netblock per network. I normally use a 27bit
subnet for the LAN put all the PM3s in that, and grab assigned address
pools out of whatever blocks are available.
