(Thank god it was with a small local, independent telco (sprint) rather
than Hell Titanic).
They were saying, that one of the trunks in the PM3 was 'locked up'. The
actually hooey on it is that thier switch (a DMS-100, set to NI-2) would
present us a call on the D channel, for port 'x' on the PM3. The PM3 would
say, "Hey! Wait, I already have a call on that B channel, so go away." The
switch would take this and route it to a 'all circuit busy', or ACB as
they call it.
Funny thing, on this particular PRI, there was a user, that, according to
the PM3, had been on for 7 days (the uptime of the PM3). But, he has a
session-timeout of 6 hours, and was not online (I called him, and he told
me that his computer was switched off).
A reboot cleared the problem.
The only bad part of this was that we have 8 PRI's in this particular
huntgroup; this 'lockup' occured on the 22nd B of the third, effectively
crippling the entire huntgroup.
At least one other person (on this mailing list) i have talked to has seen
similar behavior.
Has anyone else?
