(PM) Avalanche! Help!

We use PM-2e30, Com OS 3.7.2 and some are 3.5. Modems are Total control
MP/8 and MP/16 v.Everything.

In the last 3 weeks or so we have had a very high rate of calls asking for
help regarding "Dialup Network can not negotiate...." blah blah blah.

Normally, we just reinstall Dialup Networking and that solves the problem.
It's not working anymore. Needless to say, my tylenol usage has increased.

Customers who were previously getting perfect connections are now calling
with this problem with no solution in sight. And if they do get online its
very unstable connection.

I need some tips and help on what else I can do to troubleshoot this and
determine where the problem is and how to solve.

I have heard or read that loop current on the analog line can affect the
modems. IS this true and what values are acceptable? We are using Total
Control MP/8 and MP/16. As for current, I measured it about a week ago and
it was about 45mamps, this week its 55 mamps. Am I looking in the wrong
direction?

Your help much appreciated, I'm running out of asprin and I'm coming to work
dressed like a raving mad postman...

Thanks,
Jose
