We are assigning him a subnet of 16 addresses, so he cannot run with
Network address translation. He needs an address for his next hop, I've
given him our gateway address
but he isn't able to connect. I've seen the mention of reported address,
and will try that. Is there any problem with setting the reported address
to our gateway address
or should I use an unused address?
When he tries to connect he says he can see 3 packets sent and then the
connection
is dropped. He feels that the problem is this address issue, but I've never
seen a
username or password from him. I'm under the impression that there is a
problem
with the ISDN set up on his end, but from what he says it seems to be ok.
He has his telephone numbers and SPIDs entered, and is set up to connect
PPP with one
channel using PAP.
Does anybody have any clues for setting up a P50? We do have another
customer using a P50 and NAT that doesn't appear to have any problems.
TIA
