Just another perspective: when I put our K56flex modem cards into the PM3s,
very few people noticed. Most of them wouldn't have noticed when I first
installed the PM3s except that the phone number changed. We did a lot of
testing with a group of users on the front end and had almost no problems
during the conversion.

I did maintain one of our original analog pools for the hard luck cases,
primarily Win3.x and 14.4 modems of unknown parentage. I'm down to about
50% of the original capacity on that pool and most people have made the
migration.
