I don't know about OSPF NSSA (don't know much about that except Not So
Stubby Areas; could someone explain it to me?), but it did OSPF since
the first one we got (which was either late November or early December
1996) with ComOS 3.5, which was the first shipping version of the OS for
the PM3.

Our old analog dialup pool used Xyplex terminal servers. We were always
hesitant to use the rack mount ears, as the made the whole front of the
unit feel like it was going to snap off.
We also have a couple of Ascend MAX 1800s, and they are not terribly
well constructed either (and aren't as reliable).

That switch does something: it tells you which load of software you have
to get from Ascend every day.
I don't see how someone could say anything about the PM3 is cheap except
for the price.
